Jorge Gonzales San Miguel was
born in Chimbote, Perú. He graduated from the Art Faculty at Pontificia
Universidad Católica del Perú in the year 2000. His work has been
included in important group exhibitions throughout Peru and is also in
the permanent collection of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Lima,
LI-MAC. In 2001, he presented a two-person show with Lucía Wong, “La
sonrisa contenida” (The restrained smile) at Centro Cultural Ricardo
Palma in Lima, and in 2003, he presented his first solo exhibition Déjame
que te cuente (Once upon a time) at Galería La Oficina in Trujillo and
Galería Punctum in Lima. He currently lives and works in Lima.
