Corinne Erni is the senior producer of IDEAS CITY, a collaborative and civic program founded by the New Museum in 2011, which addresses key challenges and opportunities facing cities around the world today with the belief that art and culture are essential to their vitality. She headed up the two biennial IDEAS CITY Festivals in New York City (2011 and 2013) as well as the global initiatives, IDEAS CITY: Istanbul (2012) and IDEAS CITY: São Paulo (2013). Corinne is also the co-founder and co-director of ARTPORT_making waves, a curators' collective founded in 2006 to investigate artistic responses to climate change; as such she co-curated (Re-) Cycles of Paradise, an exhibition at the intersection of gender and climate change.
Juan Fontanive was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1977. In 2004 he was granted the Desmond Drawing Prize and in 2006 he received an MA in Animation from the Royal College of Art, London. In 2010 he was shortlisted for the Jerwood Painting Prize. He has exhibited at Kinetica Museum (2006), Royal Academy of Art, London (2006), The Royal College of Art London (2006), Contemporary Art Society, London (2012),The New Museum (2013), Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, New York (2013). His work is part of important collections such as the Lodevans Collection and the Francis H Williams Collection.
